Core Values, Certifications, and New Policies
Miko is driven by values of loyalty, transparency, consistency, determination, and passion, which push us toward a mission focused on achieving greater sustainability. This goal is pursued through projects that minimize environmental impacts, enhance worker well-being, incorporate IoT solutions, and monitor the value chain. Miko adheres to the ethical principles outlined in our Code of Ethics and in the organizational model complies with Legislative Decree 231/2001, with certified management systems promoting sustainable governance.
In 2022, Miko took significant steps to strengthen policies on supply chain management and workplace health and safety. Our global presence and the role of supplier relationships in supporting revenue and production have led us to develop robust policies that reinforce our commitment to responsible sourcing and a safe working environment.
Commitment to Sustainability
Sustainable development is fundamental to Miko’s operations and growth. Aligned with parent company Asahi Kasei Corporation’s goals, Miko contributes through targeted activities and investments aimed at reducing negative impacts on the environment and society.

Installation of a 1 MW photovoltaic system on the production facility roof, meeting up to 26% of the facility’s energy needs.
2016
Process improvements to reduce energy and water consumption.
2018
Partnership with WOWnature® projects, managed by Etifor S.r.l. Benefit Company, to capture and store GHG emissions through investments in forest management at Bosco Sacile and the restoration of the Huong Son forest in Vietnam.
2020/21
Replacement of lighting systems with LED technology.
2021
Shifted to 100% renewable energy sources with a guarantee of origin.

Miko complies with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation, EU 2016/679) and all applicable privacy laws. Recognizing the importance of data security, Miko’s systems protect both company and managed data from evolving cyber threats.
